Project Mapping: Visual Thinking in Project Management
Projects are ubiquitous. Much of what we consider work can be defined as a “project”. The
Project Management Institute, the international organization of project management professionals
includes in its definition of a project the following attributes: projects are temporary endeavors,
which create a unique product, are done for a purpose, and have interrelated activities.
In this presentation, Adam will explore the use of visual thinking tools throughout the project
management lifecycle. Adam will discuss common, and not so common, tools that project
managers can employ to ensure efficient communication and alignment of thought. Specific focus
will be placed on visual mapping tools are uniquely suited to serve several different roles in project
communications..
